Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda who performs as MzVee is a hit making afropop, dancehall and hiplife artiste. A graduate of the Ghana Telecom University, she first started performing as part of a trio, D3. The group made waves with their first single “Girls Gone Bad” but soon fell apart with MzVee continuing to pursue her career on her own terms. She was soon signed to Lynx Entertainment, a leading record label in the country, justifying their confidence with a run of consecutive hit songs including ‘BorkorBorkor’ and ‘Natural Girl’.
She was winner of the ‘Unsung Artiste Award’ at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and was subsequently nominated as New Artiste of the Year at the 2015 BET Awards. After three well received studio albums, MzVee is said to be seeking a new musical direction and has left Lynxx Entertainment.
