Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei known in showbiz as Reggie Rockstone was born to fashion designer Ricky Ossei in the United Kingdom. He attended the Achimota School. Reggie Rockstone has been a rockstar since birth joining a hip-hop dance movement in the 80’s which introced him to fame. His career metamorphosed in 1991 and in 1994, he started the Hiplife movement.
For this reason, the legendary Ghanaian rapper is celebrated as a pioneer for Hiplife music genre in Ghana as he has featured with other celebrated acts like the Jamaican Dancehall singer Beenie Man and Nigeria’s Fela Kuti. He is known internationally, performing in many European countries as well as the United States of America. His style for weaving Asante Twi with slanged English and won him an incredibly number of fans and followers.
He has served as a judge for some musical competitions including the maiden edition of the Glo X Factor Africa and the Malta Guinness Street Dance competition in 2012. In 2009 Reggie Rockstone was outdoored as a brand ambassador for Glo Ghana alongside other public figures.
