Emmanuel Andrews known by his stage name, Samini, was born on 22 December 1981 in Accra. He is a reggae artiste with a mixture of dancehall, hip hop and highlife genre music to his credit. Samini was part of the choir at age 14. He is an alumnus of the St. Magaret Mary Senior High School.
He signed his first record deal with Ashanti International. Samini started his own record label after he left the aforementioned label. His debut song, “Linda”, was a hit that gave him a lot of commercial recognition. In 2007, he signed a deal with MTN as a brands ambassador which lasted for a period of eight years. He intends to hit the Grammy’s before he retires from music. He has seven albums to his credit.
In 2018, he was enskinned as a Chief in Wa and bestowed the titles Waa Naa and Pebili Naa, respectively
