Charles Kwadwo Fosu - Daddy Lumba

Charles Kwadwo Fosu also known as Daddy Lumba was born to a teacher mom and dad on 29th September 1964. With a passion for singing, he started his career when he was only 16 years old as a leader of his school’s choir. He attened the Juaben Senior High School where he formed the music group called the Lumba Brothers with his friend and girlfriend.

Lumba travelled to Germany after school and met Ernest Nana Acheampong who he later formed alliance with to revamp The Lumba Brothers. The duo released a hit album titled Yeeye Aka Akwantuomu in 1989. Lumba went on to release over 30 more albums since then, producing hit after hit songs from each album. Some popular songs include, Theresa, Sika Asem, Ye Nea Woho Beto Wu, Aben Woha, Obi Ate Meso Bo, Emere Pa Beba, Anidasoɔ Wɔhɔ Ma Obiara. He is described as one of the greatest singers in Ghana’s history which has earned him accolades and recognitions. He is married with five children.
