Kwadwo Asamoah is a midfielder and defender playing for Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan. He is a stalwart in the Ghanaian senior side, the Black Stars, with which he has played four Cup of African Nations tournaments and two FIFA World Cups.
He began his professional career in Italy, playing for Udinese. From there, he was transferred to Juventus where he became a core part of the highly successful team that won six consecutive Serie A titles between 2013 and 2018.
His quiet industrial and versatility are the toast of the coaches and observers and he is often seen as the engine of the team he plays with. In 2010, the Confederation of African Football named him the Most Promising African Player of the year.
He again won Ghana Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013, while Bloomberg named him the 27th best footballer in the world. While he has had an illustrious career, he has been plagued by repeated injuries, which his fans believe have kept him from reaching his full potential.
