Elizabeth Addo plays professional football for Chinese Club Jiangsu Suning FC and is one of the most reliable forwards for Ghana’s women’s football sides. Her career began at Tesano Ladies F.C. in 2003.
After stints there and with Ashaiman Ladies, her international career took off when she was signed by Rivers Angels F.C. in 2012, helping the Nigerian team to win two titles on the trot. From there she joined ŽFK Spartak Subotica in Serbia before moving to Hungary to play for Ferencvárosi TC, again tasting glory when the team won the 2015/2016 Hungarian Női NB I league title and Hungarian Women’s Cup in 2016. Such was the quality of her contribution that she was shortlisted for the 2015/2016 Női NB I Women Footballer of the Year award.
She played for Kvarnsvedens IK, Seattle Reign and Western Sydney Wanderers before joining her current side. Since her debut with the Ghanaian national team at the 2007 FIFA under-14 Women’s World Cup in Switzerland, she has been a major pillar in every national assignment, including the under-17 and under-20 Women’s World Cups. In 2018, she was with the team when Ghana hosted the African Women Cup of Nations.
