Jordan Pierre Ayew is a Ghanaian forward playing for Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. He was born into Ghanaian football royalty, the son of a legendary footballer and former national captain, Abedi Ayew Pele, and kin to several other football greats including his brother, Dede Ayew, current captain of the national side, the Black Stars.
His professional career began in France as a trainee in the Marseille side. He made his debut in December 2009, scoring in that game. He later transferred to Sochaux another Ligue 1 side on a loan deal before joining Lorient in 2014. The following year, he moved to the English Premiership and has since recorded stints with Aston Villa, Swansea City and Crystal Palace, which he joined in 2018. Like his father, brother, uncles, and cousins before him, he has carved out a place for himself in the Ghana national team, in which he has been a nearconstant fixture since 2010 when he first played against Swaziland. He has played in two FIFA World Cups and four AFCON tournaments, scoring fifteen goals for his country.
