Nene Amegatcher is a renowned legal practitioner and a justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Prior to his nomination, he was the Managing Partner at Sam Okudzeto & Associates, one of the most prominent law firms in the country. An experienced hand with over three decades of practice behind him, he specialised in Civil Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law, Land and Labor, Constitutional Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Among his many high profile clients was the World Bank, for which he served as a consultant on Administrative Law, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms under its Legal Sector Reform Project. From 2012 to 2015, he served as the national president of the Ghana Bar Association.
He was also a lecturer at the Ghana School of Law, providing instruction in Advocacy and Legal Ethics. On April 2018, Mr. Amegatcher was nominated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to sit on the Supreme Court, capping an illustrious career with an honor that matches his skills, experience and contribution to the practice of law in Ghana.
