Daniel Sackey is a seasoned banker and the Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana Ltd, one of the leading regional banks operating in the country. Prior to his current position, he had worked with the bank in the capacity as an Executive with Anglophone West Africa, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated.
Daniel received his education from the University of Ghana, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and then proceeded to the Birmingham Business School, where he obtained an MBA in International Banking and Finance. He is a Board Member of the Ghana Community Network Services Ltd.
His journey with Ecobank begun in 1995 when he joined the bank as a risk analyst, a position he excelled at and which provided him the platform to rise quickly through the ranks.
Prior to assuming his current role, Daniel served in various positions with the banking group. He served as the Managing Director of Ecobank Rwanda, as well as the Deputy Group Risk Manager and Regional Risk Manager of the Ecobank Group. He also worked in the bank’s operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe.
