Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly called DKB is an award-winning Ghanaian comedian and actor. He started his basic education at the Universal Academy and later St. Anthony’s Preparatory School. He proceeded to St. John’s Grammar Senior High School, where he served as Organising Secretary for the Agricultural Science Student’s Association, receiving an award as the Best Student in Information’s Technology in his final year. DKB is a graduate of the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
He began acting and performing while in secondary school, continuing at university and it seemed a natural option for him to a career in radio at YFM after university. He took to comedy, first appearing on stage at the Citizen Kofi Comedy Show. A controversial turn in Big Brother Africa, where he was removed from the show for striking a female housemate threatened to derail his career, but he survived the storm and has continued to perform to the delight of his fans.
