Cecilia Dapaah

Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation

Cecilia Dapaah

Cecilia Abenaa Dapaah, a distinguished alumna of the University of Ghana and Harvard Kennedy School, has dedicated significant years of her life to serving Ghana in various capacities. Initiating her governmental journey as a special assistant to President John Agyekum Kufour in 2001, she progressed to board membership at the Ghana Cocoa Processing Company and then took on ministerial roles, culminating as the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation.

Her commendable tenure as a Member of Parliament for the Bantama constituency further solidified her presence in Ghanaian politics. However, the year 2023 became a testing time for her illustrious career when controversies surrounding significant amounts of money found at her residence led to heightened media scrutiny and investigations by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Despite these challenges, her legacy in Ghana's political history remains notable. Cecilia is a devout Methodist, wife, and mother of one.
