She made her break into fame in as a contestant of Miss Ghana. Born, November 12 1985, Yvonne Nelson started her career since the year 2000 until present. She not only is an actress but also a model, actress, entrepreneur. She had her basic education at St. Martin De Porres, and her secondary school education was in Aggrey Memorial Secondary School. She further had her tertiary education at the Zenith University College and Central University where she obtained a degree in Human Resource Management The African storyteller and movie producer come off as a very calm personality but is very bold at heart.
She is considered one of the most controversial female celebrities for her involvement in governance and politics of Ghana, especially with her campaign on the “Dumsor Must Stop”, an activity which brought together a group of protestors against the frequent power fluctuations in Ghana at the time. She had a first screen break with the movie Princess Tyra and has gone on to star in over 100 with Heart of Men, House of Gold, If Tomorrow Never Comes, In April, Single and married, 4Play Reloaded, Any Other Monday, The Black Taliban, as some of the movies she has appeared in.
She has also successfully run her own productions called the YN productions which has produced movies like “Sin City” and “Heels and Sneakers”. She has won awards like the Best upcoming actress at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actress in Leading Role at the 2015 Ghana Movie Awards, and City People Movie Award for Best Actress of the Year (Ghana). In 2017, she had her daughter Ryn Roberts.
