The bubbly happy-go-lucky Felicity Ama Agyeman, also known as Nana Ama McBrown shot to limelight after her appearance in the television series, “Tentacles”, following her debut movie, “That Day”. The popular screen diva and music writer, revealed that she had her name changed to the Nana Ama McBrown in order to well brand herself in the competitive movie industry after getting advice from her uncle to do so.
She had her basic school education at the St. Peter's International Residential School, and later Minnesota International. She then continued at the Central International School and Kwadaso L.A. J.S.S, where she dropped out at Junior High School level due to financial challenges. She also ended her hopes of becoming a footballer although she was a very good football player.
She chanced upon acting as a career after her role in the Kumasi produced movie titled “Asoreba” in 2007. Felicity has had a great impact in the entertainment industry through her great acting career as well as brand promotions and television presenting. She has run commercials for top brands in Ghana including Tasty Tom and Hi Sense, granting her the title as ‘Madam HiSense’.
She has also starred in various movies including, Kumasi Yonko, Odo Ntira, Love Comes Back, Kae Dabi. Asoreba, Alicia, Fool’s Paradise, just to mention a few. In July 2007, she was enthroned the ceremonial queen mother for development in Assin-Bosiako near Assin-Fosu in the Central Region of Ghana. She is married to Maxwell Mensah and they have a daughter together.
