Dr. Ben Orca is one of the foremost personalities in Ghana who has been able to effectively combine a distinguished career in academia with an enviable feat in the world of philanthropy. He has a solid track record in the field of International Development and Research and a background in Information Communications Technology (ICT), research methods, corporate management and international affairs.
Having chalked immense successes in his career life, Dr. Ben Orca has used his voice and connections to better the lot of the ordinary Ghanaian and advanced their needs through the provision of capacity-building support services to humanitarian-focused organizations to better achieve their goals. He is currently the Director of Ghana Philanthropy Forum, a not-for- profit, non-membership organization established as a philanthropy support entity with the mandate to strengthen the capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and community foundations. He has worked with several reputable organizations, including the United Nations, the World Bank, Southern New Hampshire University and is currently a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
Through his foresight, commitment and dedication to development related projects, he has been recognized and rewarded with honors from some public officials in the United States such as one from the former Governor of New Hampshire, John Lynch.
