Reverend Dr. Moses Asaah Awinyonga is a Catholic priest and a philanthropist. He is the founder and head of the Regentropfen Education Foundation which seeks to support brilliant students who cannot fund their education. He is also the President of the Regentropfen College of Applied Sciences, which is affiliated with the University of Development Studies (UDS).
He intends with this school to enable young people in Bongo and its surrounding villages to access the same quality education available to those in other parts of the country. Throughout his life and ministry, he has shown himself to be not just a passionate advocate for the underprivileged, but also as someone who will go to any length possible to support them.
In 2017, he emerged winner in the Education category at the third MTN Heroes of Change, an awards scheme set up by the telecommunications company to honor ordinary people who are making impactful changes in their communities. Reverend Dr. Awinyonga is a refreshing reminder of the power of religion to bring succor and comfort to the afflicted.
