In 2003, he was recalled to Ghana to continue his work, serving as Superintendent Minister of the Dansoman Circuit and later the Kwashieman Circuit both in the Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana.
In 2011, he was elected Bishop of Accra and in 2015, he won the race to replace Reverend Emmanuel Asante, who was ending his term as Presiding Bishop of the church, marking the first time that father and son had held that high office in the church.
